Built in 1969, this two-storey A-frame had been quietly waiting for someone to see its potential. When we first walked through, we knew it was something special, full of character, good bones, and that mid-century charm we’d always admired from afar.
Shortly after moving in, we put on our DIY gloves and began restoring this architectural gem, room by room, peeling back its layers and honouring its history. Today, the home proudly carries heritage status, a testament to its design significance. It stands as a rare A-frame in a suburban context, originally intended as a full-time family residence rather than a seasonal holiday home. We’ve embraced that vision, creating a sense of retreat living for ourselves and our guests.

A 1969 A-frame with bold lines, playful spirit, and heritage status, this is our passion project, a mid-century dream reimagined for modern living.

The next chapter is a major renovation: reworking spaces for modern living while celebrating the playful interiors and bold geometry that make this A-frame so unique. It’s a home that reflects our belief that design should be both joyful and deeply respectful of its origins, a love letter to the era that inspired it.
